Volare and Green Ukraine are working together to build a modern facility in Ukraine with an investment of approximately 62 million Euros.
We will combine the best Italian techniques with Ukrainian ingredients, slow drying our pasta at low temperature to preserve both flavours and nutrients. We are sourcing the best organic durum semolina and rye in Ukraine, working in conjuction with small organic local farms.
Our pasta processing plant and distribution facility will spead over 15 Acres/6 Hectares of land with a covered surface of 100,000 square feet/9,200 square metres, half for production and half for storage and distribution. Around 90 people will be emplyed at the facility.
The flour that arrives at the facility is first sampled for quality through a laboratory analysis. The flour loads are then coded before unloading them into the silos. A pneumatic system is used for offloading. The flour is handled automatically from here and is sent to the kneading machinery. Each load is kept track of through the code. Rockwell Automation will implement complete automation of the plant through an integrated architecture approach, using different technologies.
The Allen-Bradley Logix control platform provides the high performance an application requires in an easy-to-use environment. An Allen-Bradley PanelView HMI is the electronic operator interface, which acts as the graphic terminal, while the Allen-Bradley PowerFlex drives connect seamlessly into the integrated architecture.
ControlNet provides users with a robust and secure I/O network for various challenging applications, while the Allen-Bradley Guardmaster safety device is an integrated safety system from Rockwell Automation.
The benefits of installing these systems include flexible control of plant systems, and easier management and maintenance of systems by plant engineers through standardised controls. Real-time management information and data could now be delivered and thereby help meet regulatory requirements and business demands. This, in all, was a scalable control solution for a rapidly growing business.
Italian specialist machine and production line builders will be employed for the construction of the production lines at the facility. Electrical and mechanical engineering services will be managed by Ukrainian engineering firms.
Case packaging machines will be provided by Ricciarelli while Zucchini will supply end-line case packaging. Brambati S.p.A. Will be the handling system provider.
Furniture and storage will be provided by Logiflex, safety equipment and lighting controls by Philips.
Every company need successful partners and suppliers. While we work for our own
company, we are also building a consortium of farmers interested in connecting to teams
of stakeholders for short and long-term decision-making, in-season monitoring, and
climate risk assessments. We will also work with the public sector to monitor global food
security and the effects of climate change, in order to better understand the complex
ecosystems of agriculture, climate, and the economy.
Our data and analytics will examine the intersectional effects of supply, climate, demand,
and price to enable our partners to make decisions with confidence. Agriculture, climate,
and the economy are highly complex ecosystems, making data-driven decisions is critical
for food industries.
Our food security platform will provide services and applications where the full power of
satellites as well as additional datasets are required. It will serve as a platform where users
can easily access comprehensive satellite datasets in a timely manner and process these
directly by using a range of available generic applications
